We are very excited to be part of two important Jewish day school events. We’ll be sharing some of the things we’ve learned about online and blended learning, as well as helping Jewish day school leaders to think strategically about planning for purposeful technology integration that supports academic goals. We hope to see you at one or both of these events!
Join us on December 18th for Ed Tech & Social Media: Using EdTech Tools to Support Learning in Jewish Schools, an event brought to you by JEDCamp and the Solomon Schechter School of Queens. DJLN's Director Gary Hartstein will be leading a session titled Online and Blended Learning: It has less to do with technology than you might think.
This free evening conference will focus on using educational technology and social media to enhance the quality of learning in Jewish day schools. Participants will be able to choose two out of a variety of workshops. After Gary’s session, you may want to check out a great presentation being led by The Jewish Education Project’s Irene Sandalow, focused on engaging parents through social media.
DJLN is proud to be working closely with RAVSAK and PARDES on a special day of learning during the annual Jewish Day School Leadership Conference in Los Angeles this coming January. Join us Monday January 20th for a full-day deep dive titled Effective Technology, Effective Education.
The Moving the Needle conference will focus on addressing the complex needs of Jewish day schools committed to a pluralistic, substantive Jewish education that addresses twenty-first century realities. It will provide day school leaders - educators, administrators and board members - with inspirational sessions, workshops and networking opportunities that have practical implications for galvanizing change in their schools.
The Effective Technology, Effective Education deep dive will explore how well planned and implemented technology can help schools achieve their educational goals more effectively and enhance the collaborative and creative skills essential for twenty-first century success. There are some exciting and engaging speakers lined up, who will be announced soon.

On the day of the deep dive, there will be no alternate programming; every person must pick a deep dive and pre-register for it. Sign up now while there’s still space available!
